Tuesday the 7th of April was the start of the qualifying season, commencing with the ladies 18 -hole Stableford competition.

Hilary Ingram was the winner of division 1 with 35 points, followed by Sophie Jacob on 31 points and Julie Parry was third with 30 points. Division 2 saw Carol Wakelin triumph with 37 points, Amanda Finney was second (32 points) and Susan Asquith third (26 points). Finally in division 3 Carol Clayton was first with 31 points, Sally Honeysett took second with 29 points and Bernie Ruffell came third also with 29 points.

In the Ladies Green course 9-hole competition Dine Faith came first with 15 points, Alison Stratford second (14 points) and Gillian Roberts third (12 points).

On Saturday the 11th Pannal’s Season Opener took place, the winners were Ben Chumas & Jamie Hardcastle with 48 points, closely followed by Tony Mcgibbon & Stephen Corrie. Jason Scofield & Andrew Scott took third (46 points) on a countback. Nearest the pin on the 3rd for the men was Alec Walton and for the ladies Gerry Callander.
