Tuesday 9th December was scheduled as a Ladies 9 hole Greensome’s competition, however, due to the torrential rain, it was changed to an indoor fun event. There was a 3 hole putting competition, which involved navigating around several Christmas decorations and obstacles. A chipping competition (best of 4 balls) and a dingbats Christmas quiz. Many ladies enjoyed the varied format; the results were as follow:

• Putting, after a ‘best of three putts’ play off: 1st Anne-Louise Game, 2nd Ann Whiteley

• Chipping: 1st Julie Parry (150 points), 2nd Hilary Ingram (130 points)

• Dingbats Christmas Quiz winning team: Sue White, Clare Davies and Ruth Skaife-Clarke

Following the fun golf and quiz, 68 ladies enjoyed a delicious Christmas Lunch. The final trophy presentation for the year included Helen Mountford and Alison Stratford receiving their PING prizes, Sophie Jacob Summer Birdie division 1 trophy and Joy Bowler the Hole in One cup. Joy had a hole in one on the 3rd hole on Junior Captain's Day in the summer, it's her 5th hole in one!

On Saturday 13th December a 4BBB Stableford was held:

1st Geoff Otty & John Drumey 36 points

2nd Richard Finney & Graham Watson 36 points

3rd David Thomas & Richard Hawley 35 points

On Sunday 14th December, Father Christmas visited Pannal Golf Club for the annual children’s Christmas Party. Father Christmas was driven to the clubhouse by Captain Andrew Asquith after Rudolph and his fellow reindeers became ill over night!
