Pannal juniors were succesful in winning the Ilkley Centenary Trophy at Skipton Golf Club.  The trophy was competed for by 10 teams from the Harrogate and District Union.

Early in the scoring, Pannal posted a superb, combined total of 108 points which looked almost untouchable for much of the afternoon. However, Romanby mounted a late charge from the final two groups, eventually finishing just two points short to claim second place in a dramatic finish.

The Men’s section competed for a stableford competition on the 30th May.  As with last week there were only four scores with over 36 points.  David Everingham came top in Division 1 with a score of 38 points with Sam Crawshaw winning Division2 with 37 points. Jack Chalmers came top of Division 3 with 38 points beating Julian Graham-Rack into second with 37 points. No one else in the field of over 100 players beat their handicap.

On the Sunday we hosted Fulford for a friendly match.  Played in great spirit and superb conditions the result was an honourable draw with Pannal coming out on top by one match.
