On Saturday 24th May the club held a Pro’s competition; BB medal and the winners were as follows:

1st - Harry Armstrong & Reuben Bhogal net 63

2nd - Michael Crack & Richard Burcher net 64

3rd - Steve Drinkwater & John Jones net 65

On Tuesday 27 May 33 ladies took part in the Ladies 18 hole Stableford competition. For the first time in a ladies’ competition the ladies could choose their tee set, the usual Red tees, or the Yellow tees which are newly rated for ladies. Division 1 was won by Ruth Skaife-Clarke, scoring 37 points. Ruth played a very consistent round, which included 14 pars and 1 birdie. In second place was Clare Davies, 35 points, followed by Vicky Eyre, with 34 points. Both Clare and Vicky bravely took on the new challenge, playing from the Yellow Tees. Division 2 was won by Susie Stuart-Brown, 37 points. Debbie Bruce, also 37 points, came second on countback, Sue White taking third place, 36 points. Gill Roberts topped the table in Division 3 with 29 points.

The Scratch & 1st team match against Bedale GC took place on Thursday 29th May at Bedale. The Scratch team (Jason Taylor, Simon Walker, Will Eardley, & Dom Jesper) won 7-1. Overall Pannal lost 11 points v 9 points but remain top of the league on 63 points, 2 points ahead of Knaresborough GC. Next up is an away match against Skipton Golf Club.

Men’s Invitation Day was held on Saturday 31 May in warm & sunny conditions. The winners were as follows:

1st - Will Eardley & J Wright 46 points

2nd - Andrew Asquith & J Eyton-Jones 44 points

3rd - Michael Dormer & M Hickling 43 points
