The Ladies section had their Spring meeting this week.   Division 1 was won by Moira Rusling in round one and Julie Parry in Round 2.  Division 2 was won by Jackie Smart in both rounds whereas division 3 was won by Rebecca Ellacott in round 1 and Lisa O’Reilly in round 2.

In the Yorkshire Ladies Senior Championship there was a new champion.  Emma Brown, a former Curtis Cup player had won this for the last four years, and almost won it again this year.  However, this year with the last put on the 18th green Pannal’s Ruth Skaife-Clarke won the title this year.   Ruth will now lead the Yorkshire County team in the Richardson Trophy matches for the rest of 2026.

On Saturday it was the Medal & Veterans cup year division 1 was won by Sophie McKelvie.  Division 2 was won by Henry Wright and division 3 by Lincoln Brailsford.  All three winners had net scores under 70 and won by at least 2 strokes. The Veteran’s Cup, for players aged over 65, was won by Michael Dromer with a nett 69. Ian McIntosh finished in second place with a level-par nett 72.
