On Tuesday 24 June the blustery showers did not deter 64 ladies taking part in Ladies’ Captain’s Day 18-hole Stableford competition, with 15 ladies clearly enjoying the conditions enough to score 36 points or higher!

There were three entries in the 9 hole Green Course Stableford, the winner was Anne Chippindale with 19 points.
Delicious refreshments were served by Lady Captain, Vicky, and her family and friends, at the half way house, the warm sausage sandwiches being very popular and already requested for next year!
The day culminated in an evening meal and prize giving, in addition to prizes for the overall winner, and 1st and 2nd in each division, prizes were awarded for two’s (Ruth Skaife-Clarke, Anne Burke and Joanne McCormack), nearest the pin (Ruth Skaife-Clarke, Betsy Haldon, Anne Burke and Eileen Lees), those who had ‘chipped in’ (Margaret McNeill and Stephanie Turner) and finally the most entertaining photo on the 1st tee – the ‘9 hole ladies’ won this – Anne Chippindale, Eileen Lees and Linda Booth.
