39 Ladies played in a 3-ball Florida Scramble Medal on Tuesday 29 July. To celebrate Yorkshire Day and also 125 years of Yorkshire Ladies County Golf Association ladies were encouraged to dress in ‘Yorkshire Attire’, there was a range of interesting and innovative outfits and bag decorations, including Yorkshire puddings, rhubarb, flat caps and lots of blue and white on display! First placed team were Sophie Jacob, Debbie Bruce and Alison Stratford, with an impressive nett 63, followed by Annie Burke, Clare Davies and Steph Turner, nett 64. Margaret McNeill, Gail Witcomb and Lisa O'Reilly coming third with a nett 66.
On Saturday 2nd August the rescheduled Road to Birkdale was held. The winners were Craig Pinches and Tom Hesketh with 47 points. In second place were Michael Rhodes and Michael Holmes with 46 points (countback) and in third place were Paul Mancey and Paul Robinson with 46 points.
On Sunday 3rd August the Captains held their Charity Day, which raised £1,500 for Yorkshire’s Brain Tumour Charity. The winners were Martine & Tara Phipps and Vicky & Freddie Ayre, the winners were presented their prize by Andrew Asquith, Men’s Captain:
